Why social distancing is critical to curbing the coronavirus pandemic

Eagle Mountain Casino is the latest Central Valley gambling venue set to reopen its doors.

The Porterville area casino, which closed its doors during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic in March, will reopen 12 a.m. Tuesday.

The casino and food court will be open 24/7 with limited seating. The River Steakhouse will be open on the weekends with suggested reservations. Facial coverings and temperature checks are required to enter.

Eagle Mountain Casino is owned and operated by the Tule River Tribe. It features 1,200 slot machines and 11 table games.

The casino continued to pay its team members base salary and health benefits during the temporary closure, it said in a press release.

Tachi Palace Casino Resort officials announced its on May 28. Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino partially reopened on June 1. Table Mountain Casino reopened on June 8.
